Internal Medicine

Our particular specialty is internal medicine. Like detective work, this involves finding the causes and treating them in a pinpointed way.

Internal medicine deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the internal organs. This includes, for example, diseases of the heart, lungs, liver, stomach, intestines or kidneys. But it also includes hormonal or metabolic disorders.

If an internal organ is diseased, the symptoms are often not clear - they range from pain, incontinence, vomiting and diarrhea to fur loss, fatigue, coughing and sniffles to weight gain or loss or unquenchable thirst.

An exact diagnosis - and thus the basis for successful treatment - therefore often requires real investigative effort. This is where our well-founded veterinary training and years of practical experience serve us well.

When treating malignant cancers, which we unfortunately see more frequently, we also work together with specialists from the major veterinary clinics.

To achieve a diagnosis, we use a detailed clinical examination as well as blood tests and imaging.
