When treating dental problems in pets such as dogs, cats and small animals, we always adhere to one essential guideline: no dental treatment without prior intraoral X-rays. This approach is comparable to looking at an iceberg, most of which remains hidden under the water. Similarly, most tooth structures and potential problems are hidden beneath the gums and within the bone, invisible to the naked eye.
Statistics show that without such x-rays, up to 70 percent of dental diseases could go undetected. This is why our pet clinic insists on using this technology to ensure that no disease is overlooked.
Intraoral X-rays are targeted and efficient: a special X-ray film is placed in the animal's mouth and images of each tooth and its root are taken using a specially designed X-ray tube. These digital images are then analyzed immediately, enabling prompt and precise treatment.
